Janel spent her first 20 years of her life feeling terribly lost, disconnected from her soul, spiritually exhausted from living a life that does not feel good in her body. She was surrounded in toxic environments–high-stress workplaces that forced her to work up to 20 hours a day, a social life that involved numbing out her problems with addictive behaviours–late night partying, alcohol, cigarettes as a way to "escape". She experienced a big part of her life battling physical illnesses, mental health struggles like anxiety, chronic burnout, insomnia, even self-harm & suicidal tendencies. It is only after going through her first Dark Night of the Soul in 2011 that she started her path towards self-redemption & started slowly taking care of herself through holistic means of healing.

 

2015 was when she was first introduced to yoga & meditation by her mother who is a Certified Yoga Therapist. She then went through her Saturn's Return cum spiritual awakening in 2017 (relocating to a third world country) sparking an intense series of spiritual upheaval, causing her to lose everything she ever had–her comfort zone, her sense of safety & security, being away from family, losing friendships along the way, experiencing a near divorce & feeling completely feeling empty on the inside even though she reached the peak of her career as a creative & marketing professional. She lost her entire sense of identity.

 

She found Usui Reiki Ryoho in 2019 after returning back home to Singapore & started her life from scratch. She also decided to pursue her childhood dream of studying Psychology, graduating from Murdoch University. She also went on to complete her Holistic Life Coaching training accredited by International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM) in 2020. She has also completed her training in Transpersonal Crystal Healing®, a unique Energy Mastery Healing modality created by Kate Mantello of Evolve Institute (Australia), is now a Certified Usui Reiki Master Teacher under the wing of @fiona.healer, under the lineage of Agnes Lau. Under the guidance of astrology sacred biz mentor @michelle_saya, Janel has successfully Brough Soulearthrising to new heights after her mentorship program EMBODY U 2.0. Janel is also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Advanced Para-counselling techniques and is a practising Animal Communicator. She is now undertaking her studies in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy to gain awareness on trauma-informed approaches from The Embody Lab, and is also completing her Gottman Method Couple Therapy Level 1 Clinical Certification this year.

Janel now guide individuals who are seeking for alternative forms of healing and life enhancement through energy mastery work, tarot & astrology guidance, and provides 1:1 private spiritual coaching & mentorship, guiding soul clients through soul remembrance, inner child healing, shadow work integration, connection to Self & Spirit through ritual work, and to help them find & embody their soul purpose in life. Janel's mission is to facilitate a nurturing yet empowering journey of spiritual remembrance back to the core of who they are without labels & conditions, and her work calls out to those who would like to take their soul healing journey on a deeper, more insightful, transformative level.
